I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt

of your letter Ro.305 of 5th August, 1927, concerning the

difficulties involved in extruditing fugitive Chinese

offenders from Hong Kong to Chim and in reply to enclose

copy of a minute by the Attorney Gener: 1 de ling with the

points you have raised.

A set of Dyer Ball's Ordinances of long kong

1844 1923 with Index together with the amul volumes for

1924, 1926 and 1926 are being sent to you uixier sejaru te

In the print of the Bill enclosed in my

despatch to the Secretary of State for the Colonies No.328

of the 14th July the word "Govermont" should be inserted

at the end of line 7 of section 2(a) between the words "the"

and "actually "

I agree with you as to the urgency and importance of this matter and fave to-day telegrded to the Secretary of State for the Colonies requesting immediate consideration of my despatch of 1:th July. A copy of this

telecom is enclosed.
